Where are you located?

We operate Tiny Travellers out of a private home in the north end of Halifax, just minutes from downtown Halifax and Dartmouth. Rental reservations must be made in advance (24-48 hours) We’ll provide the exact address and arrange a convenient time for someone to come by to pick up the equipment on your rental start date.

Do you install car seats?

For liability reasons we are unable to install car seats but all of our car seats come with a clear instruction manual. This Transport Canada site has information on installing car seats correctly.

Do you deliver to the airport?

We can deliver to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. Our drop-off location is at the airport security office located on the lower level near the car rental area. We leave the equipment there in your name, you pick it up when you arrive and drop it off upon your departure. It’s that easy! Cost to deliver to the airport is $55 and that includes delivery, pick up and taxes. Please keep in mind that the airport is approximately 35 km from downtown Halifax.

Do you deliver to other locations in the Halifax area?

We can also deliver to homes or hotels in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, and Sackville. The cost of delivery depends on the exact location so if you are interested in this option, please let us know the exact address and we can provide a price.

Can I pick up the equipment myself?

You or friends/family can certainly pick up equipment directly from us. We operate Tiny Travellers out of our home in the north end of Halifax. If you’re interested in this option, we can provide the exact address and arrange a convenient time for someone to come by to pickup the equipment on your rental start date.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Once your reservation is confirmed we will send you a payment request via PayPal. This allows you to pay securely and privately online and you don’t need a PayPal account to do this, just an online bank account. Or you can pay with VISA, Master Card or cash if you’re getting the items delivered/picked up directly.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that travel plans change. Please notify us 48 hours prior to your rental start date to reschedule or cancel your equipment rental at no charge. If, however, you must cancel less than 48 hours prior to your reservation, you will be charged 50% of the rental fee. Should you need to change or cancel your order, please contact us ASAP.

How far in advance do I need to place my order?

Generally we require 24-48 hours notice for rentals. To ensure availability, we suggest you place your order as soon as your travel plans are confirmed (especially during holidays and the summer months).

How do I place an order to rent equipment?

Please contact us to place your order. We will return email inquiries and phone calls within 48 hours to confirm the details of your equipment rental.

How new is your equipment?

We know that products, rules and regulations change frequently. We rent clean, up-to-date products in excellent condition that meet all Canadian safety standards.

What if I need something not on your list?

Please let us know and we will do our best to meet your needs!

Can I rent the items for more then one week?

You can rent equipment daily, weekly or monthly. We have discounts for weekly rentals and for renting 3 items or more. Please see Rent Equipment for more information and for a list of our rates. Please be advised that single day rental rates apply.

Is the baby equipment cleaned after each use?

All our equipment is cleaned and sanitized regularly with an environmental, non toxic cleaner. After every rental, our equipment is properly sanitized and safety inspected.
